The story revolves around a network game called "The World". It takes place four years after the "Twilight" incident (from the PS2 game), which not only shook the game world, but also the real world.

CyberConnect Corporation (CC Corporation), the creator and operator of The World, held a "Limited Edition Character" campaign for The World players and participants. The prize of the campaign is the Limited Edition Character itself: the legendary "Kite" and "Black Rose" from the ".hackers" data that was prohibited since the Twilight incident.

A pair of twin brother and sister in 2nd year junior high, Shuugo (the elder brother), and Rena (the younger sister), successfully obtained the Legendary Characters from the campaign. Shuugo who wanted to quit playing the network game, once again had to set foot into The World under his sister invitation.

In the game world, Shuugo and Rena met other players, Mileyu and Houka and they quickly became close friends after several events and encounters. However, the seemingly peaceful game world began to meet with many weird changes resembled to the incident four years ago. But this time, Shuugo, Rina and their new friends are involved in it...

This story is working out to be very cute. Kippei`s natural "mother" instinct is really brought to the front while trying to to his best for Yuzuyu, but he is a boy. His ineptitude regarding the smallest things a mother would need to know [like packing a lunch for school] are endearing rather than hokey, and the character of Yuzuyu is cute, without being overly so.

The story follows Elk, a bounty hunter in some strange futuristic world. On this world archaic but advanced technology exists side by side with primitive attitudes, beasts and magic. In other words it`s got a bit of everything. It also has an evil conspiracy who are able to produce powerful monsters called chimera, who can also appear as human. Naturally it is not long before Elk has rescued a young female beast-master and gained himself some serious enemies.

[A remake of the "Area 88"-OVA from 1985]

Makoto, a Japanese photographer, comes to a secret base in the middle of the desert, Area 88. Pilots fly lots of missions out of the base, making mone while putting their lives on the line.
One of the pilots, Shin, who is also of Japanese origin, catches the interest of Makoto... why does he risk his life for a country that isn`t even his?

As Makoto remarks, he finds it interesting that two people with the same written name, just pronounced different ways, can walk such different paths. Obviously they have some sort of history together...
