Gall Force: Eternal Story

Gauche the Cellist

Gekiganger 3

If you have watched Nadesico, you know what Gekiganger is. This is a great show to watch at a convention with a lot of people. I can not explain how cool it was to sing the opening theme and cry when Joe die with hundreds of other people. It not only makes fun of classic giant robot shows, but the movies as well. The main character, Ryougi Shiki, was involved in a car accident and fell into a deep coma for two years. When she finally awoke from it, she had gained the ‚ ‚ ¡ ‚ € ‚ “Eyes of Death Perception ‚ ‚ ¡ ‚ €š ‚ � ability but believed to have lost something instead.

The Ryougi family attempted to create human beings that exceeded normal humans, and to accomplish this, they trained their children in various martial arts and fencing, and also made them split their personalities. They believed that by using this method, one personality could be an expert in one subject while the other could be master other subjects. Shiki was no exception to this, and she had a masculine and feminine side that switched places with each other.

After having woken up from the accident, Shiki believed that her masculine personality side had died during the accident. Instead she tried to supplement the spiritually dead Shiki's personality by her masculine tone.

However it was a boy named Wiseman that was in the cave waiting for him, he asked them to help him get out of the cave. They agreed to help him, but the cave led to the magical world. Then, Black Knight who was the strongest warrior of the magical world appeared in front of them. Black Knight thought that they had stolen the 101st magical book, and he attacked them.

They wondered why 101st book existed although there must be 100 persons who should complete for the next king.

While they were surprised, they knew another surprising truth; if they stay in magical world more than 24 hours, they wouldn €™t be able to go back to the human world again.

On the other hand, Wiseman who escaped from the cave rushed to Kotoha with a fearless smile.

Say hello to Kagura Total Security, a company composed of a half dozen misfits that specializes in trapping phantom cats. After surviving the attack they are now walking to their destination only to get stuck in the middle of nowhere in Japan while the city is in big trouble with Phantom Cats activities. Will they ever get to their client in time? Will these crazy unorganized bunches of girls can save Japan from evil Phantom cats? And who the hell is this girl who keeps attacking them?

Ghiblies

Two Ghibli created shorts about the happenings in fictional animation studio, presumably based to some extent on their own. The first was aired during a TV special about Ghibli, the second shown in theatres alongside 'The Cat Returns'. Note that the animation studio in these shorts is not spelled (hepburn: 'jiburi'), but (hepburn: 'giburi'), so pronounced with the hard 'gi' of 'give' rather than the 'ji' of 'jigsaw' used for Ghibli.

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex - The Laughing Man

Bandai Visual has announced they are releasing a 140-minute compilation movie of the entire Laughing Man "complex" stories from Ghost in the Shell: STAND ALONE COMPLEX season 1.

In addition to animation from the series, the compilation movie will also feature some new footage and a complete re-recording of the voice track.

The straight to DVD movie will be released on September 23rd on 2 discs for 8,190 yen (US$75).

Giant Robo - Ginrei Special

The first story, something like "Barefoot Ginrei" is pretty abysmal and budget restricted. This includes using lots of footage cut out of the OAV series and then spliced into the middle of this. There's a fair amount of nudity but the story itself is better forgotten. The second episode, "Gin Rei's Blue Eyes" is much better, actually having a plot, characters and sequence...but is still fairly basic at its heart. This second sample is pretty watchable, and has its moments, but really only hard core Gin Rei fans are going to value this material highly.

There are clear signs of some budget restrictions, most obvious in the first episode. Likewise the style maintains a sort of modern production of older style, or somewhat retro, look and atmosphere. While this is in keeping with the parent series it may be strange for someone unfamiliar with it. This is largely because the short running time, and certain degree of assumed knowledge, may make this somewhat confusing for new viewers. Taken as an independant product I would have to say the animation is nothing special, competent but simple, that does little to fill the voice left by the short running times and basic stories.

Giant Robo: The Animation - The Day the Earth Stood Still

The brave new world of the future! Earth has gone through its third energy revolution, and now all power is based on a new invention called 'the Shizuma Drive,' a complete recyclable and pollution free energy system created ten years ago by a group of five scientists. These drives power everything. There is no more danger of nuclear radiation, or waste of rare petroleum resources.
Even though it sounds like an ideal society, there are still problems. There are two major powers who are locked in a fierce struggle. The first is the Big Fire Organization, which is a very powerful evil organization, and threatens to conquer the world, with the help of their numerous robots.

This project was a considerable under taking, and the results are marvelous.

Nao lives far away from school, so she needs a nearby apartment from school. Lucky for Nao, she can live in an apartment with Uehara, a really popular high school boy.

But since they are going to the same high school and people will easily criticize that a high school boy and girl are living together, therefore Nao and Uehara tried to hide the fact that they live together in an apartment. Grandeek

This is a tale of swords and sorcery as the young warrior-woman Tia Allbright and her hapless assistant, Luke, battle demon assassins in a fantasy land.

Tia arrives on the island of Marcleida with her trusted sword 'Grandeek,' which holds a spirit within that helps her on her quests. She is soon turned away however. Determined to get on the island, Tia searches for a way past the fences that guard the entrance, as another stranger arrives on the island to take on a mysterious job. Someone has been killing the inhabitants of the island and has the ability to appear and disappear at will. Seems the sword 'Aihorn' has been stolen and the spirit that resides within it seeks vengenance on those who killed its master 50 years before.

As Tia makes her way inside the island, it becomes clear that both she, and the stranger, are after the sword Aihorn, hoping to bring to an end its bloody goal. But the sword has the ability to possess the person who wields it - putting Tia and the stranger at a great disadvantage.

Based on the manga by Koki Ose, Tia and Grandeek will have to face their most difficult challenge yet...

Grappler Baki: The Ultimate Fighter

Baki Hanma is a generally happy student with a rather odd hobby; he likes fighting. Specifically, he likes fighting in a secret martial arts tournament that gathers the greatest fighters of the world and pits them against each other in really nasty combat. Whether you're a sumo wrestler, a karate expert, or a guy who specializes in ripping out your opponent's nerves, you're welcome (as long as you can keep quiet about it, of course). Anyway, Baki may be the youngest fighter the tournament has ever seen, but he's also the best, and he really enjoys what he does. The story starts off with Baki entering a regular Karate tournament (as a warm up) and taking it by storm. He then moves on to the real challenge--that guy who likes to tear nerves (you knew he was going to come into this, didn't you?). Baki's pretty confident, but then again, he's never taken on somebody who can blind or paralyze an opponent using just one finger.

Gunbuster

In the very near future, a race of huge, insect like aliens is discovered traveling the galaxy. Guyver: Out of Control

Armored Creature Guyver is of Yoshiki Takaya's greatest works, and was the first Guyver anime made, yet it has a fatal flaw. The beginning of the show followed closely to the manga storyline, but then it diverged and went in a completely different direction. This problem was avoided three years later when the second Armored Creature Guyver anime was released. This one corrected practically all of the mistakes in the The Guyver: Out of Control as it followed the manga very closely.

One night, high school student Sho Fukamachi discovers a mysterious metal object. Then in a blinding flash of light, Sho finds that he has accidentally fused with the Guyver, a mecha of mysterious alien design.

Now, to save his girlfriend, Mizuki Segawa, along with the entire world, Sho must become the Guyver to fight the Chronos Corporation and their biocreatures, called Zoanoids, who are hell-bent on world domination.
